NJ iGaming just misses $3B year

Last year was the closest NJ online casinos have come to cracking the $3-billion plateau since the industry went live more than a decade ago. Over the last five years alone, the sector’s upward trajectory has gone from earning $1.37 billion in 2021 to $2.91 four years later.

The most recent results also happen to be the first time ever that annual online gambling revenue surpassed land-based earnings.

James T. Plousis, Chairman of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, issued a statement that provided insight on how both sectors are succeeding. “Atlantic City’s annual casino win grew 2.7% compared to 2024, achieving its best result since 2012 – demonstrating that in-person and online gaming can succeed together,” Plousis said.
