Gaming Control Board Reports Y-O-Y 5.4% Increase in Revenue for June 2025 in Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg).- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported a total of $544.7 million in revenue from all forms of gaming and fantasy contests in June 2025 — a 15.4% increase compared to the same month last year. Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). The PGCB has posted separate reports for these types of gaming on its website, https://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov/.
Total tax revenue generated collectively through all forms of gaming and fantasy contests was $229,758,408* during June 2025.
The following chart compiles all revenue generated in June 2025 by casinos, along with fantasy contests and VGTs operated by other vendors and includes a comparison to total revenue generated in June 2024.

This June’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $199,274,153, a 0.85% decrease in revenue when compared to the $200,973,707 generated in June 2024.
The number of slot machines in operation in June 2025 was 24,349 compared to 24,731 at the casinos in June 2024.

At the same time, the taxable revenue figure for June 2025 was $51,236,554, or 71.40% higher when compared to June 2024, when taxable revenue was $29,893,121.

Video Gaming Terminals
Total adjusted revenue for June 2025 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,368,257, or 2.20% lower than June 2024 when revenue was $3,443,964. By the end of June 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at 75 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at 74 establishments at this time last year.
