Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Grows 11,36% in July 2025 Reaching $557,7 Million

(Harrisburg, PA). – The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) announced that total revenue from all regulated gaming activities and fantasy contests reached $557,666,142 in July 2025, marking an 11.36% increase compared to $500,815,633 in July 2024.

The PGCB oversees several forms of legalized gaming in the state, including slot machines, table games, internet casino gaming (iGaming), sports betting, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (VGTs). 

July 2025 Highlights:

Total Gaming Revenue: $557.7 million

Total Tax Revenue Generated: $238.5 million*

Revenue Breakdown by Game Type:

Retail Slot Machine Revenue

July’s revenue from the play of retail slot machines was $208,544,117, a 2.07% increase in revenue when compared to the $204,305,305 generated in July 2024.  The number of slot machines in operation in July 2025 was 24,362 compared to 24,709 at the casinos in July 2024.   Slot machine revenue for each of the casinos, with the percentage change reflected over the previous year.

Retail Table Games Revenue

Retail Table games revenue for July 2025 was $76,230,219, a decrease of 3.97% from July 2024 when revenue was $79,380,427. Table games revenue for each of the casinos, with the percentage change reflected over the previous year.

Internet Casino Gaming (iGaming)

Casino games offered online generated monthly gross revenue totaling $228,258,244 during July 2025 compared to $174,318,463 in July 2024, an increase of 30.94%. Sports Wagering

July 2025, total sports wagering handle was $412,477,357 or 0.53% below the July 2024 total of $414,673,804. 

At the same time, the taxable revenue figure for July 2025 was $40,578,753, or 5.22% higher when compared to July 2024, when taxable revenue was

Video Gaming Terminals (VGTs)

Total adjusted revenue for July 2025 for video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,462,043, or 1.05% lower than July 2024 when revenue was $3,498,777. By the end of July 2025, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at 73 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at 74 establishments at this time last year.

Fantasy Contests

Fantasy Contests revenue was $592,766 in July 2025, a decrease of 17.09% over July 2024, when revenue was $714,971.

The latest data reflects continued strength in Pennsylvania’s regulated iGaming and sports betting markets, while traditional formats like table games and fantasy contests saw modest declines.

The PGCB continues to monitor and report monthly revenue figures to ensure transparency and public trust in the state’s rapidly growing gaming industry.
