(Curaçao).- Following a period of limited public updates, the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and regulatory integrity by detailing its ongoing technical investigation and system overhauls following a recent licensing portal breach.
Background and Immediate Response to Portal Incident
While public updates from the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) have been infrequent in recent weeks, significant work has continued behind the scenes to address recent security challenges. Following a security breach of its original licensing portal, the regulatory body commissioned an independent technical investigation to evaluate the incident thoroughly. To mitigate risk and maintain operational continuity, the previous platform was officially discontinued, and an interim portal was successfully launched on October 19.
Strategic Priorities and Commitment to Regulatory Transparency
The CGA's current efforts remain strictly focused on protecting confidential information, addressing industry concerns, and strengthening overall oversight of Curaçao's gaming sector. Emphasizing that building market confidence requires consistent action and clear communication, the regulator reiterated its core responsibility to safeguard the industry while progressing with necessary technical and operational updates.
