Ohio's four commercial casinos won $87.7 million in September, up 12.6% from a year earlier, according to Ohio Casino Control Commission data and RG calculations, with all four properties posting gains.

Gross casino revenue totaled $87,677,041, according to the commission's 2026 revenue report, compared with $77,832,913 in September 2025 in its 2025 report. That is an increase of about $9.8 million, or 12.6%, by RG's calculation.

Slot machines generated $65,381,651, up 12.0% from $58,390,462, on $844.7 million in coin-in, RG calculated. Table games brought in $22,295,390, up 14.7% from $19,442,451, as the table payout rate fell to 76.83% from 79.2% a year earlier.

Compared with August, September revenue fell 6.6% from $93,895,855. Through the first nine months of 2026, Ohio casinos won $808.7 million, up 4.7% from the same period of 2025, RG calculated from the commission's reports.

Columbus Leads Property Gains

Hollywood Columbus led the state with $26,482,973, up 20.1% from $22,046,398, the largest year-over-year gain among the four properties by RG's calculation. Its table count rose to 114 from 103 a year earlier.

Jack Cleveland won $20,928,502, up 7.0%. Hard Rock Cincinnati won $20,467,879, up 15.6%, and Hollywood Toledo won $19,797,687, up 6.9%, RG calculated.

Ohio taxes casinos at 33% of gross casino revenue, and the state distributes the tax among counties, schools, host cities and other funds, including 2% for the Problem Gambling and Addictions Fund, according to the commission. The figures do not include the state's racinos, which report to the Ohio Lottery.

Ohio's sports betting operators reported their September results separately; RG's September sports betting report has the details. The commission has also ordered prediction market operators to stop offering sports contracts in the state, and RG's Ohio sportsbooks guide lists licensed options.

Percentage changes are RG calculations based on the Ohio Casino Control Commission's monthly reports.
