(Manila).- Malaysian gaming product distributor RGB International Bhd says it has been awarded a contract by Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR to supply almost 2,000 slot machines for use in Casino Filipino branches.

RGB inks deal to sell nearly 2,000 slots to PAGCOR

According to RGB, the Notice of Award was received on 29 May by its wholly-owned subsidiary RGB (Macau) Limited for the procurement and delivery of 1,968 electronic gaming machines along with related accessories, LED signage and displays.

The full value of the award comes to US$81.3 million, under which RGB will also be required to provide logistics arrangement, installation of the EGMs, signage and displays, as well as engineering technical and product trainings.

Of the 1,968 EGMs to be supplied, 888 are units of Aristocrat and another 888 of Light & Wonder, with 150 from Konami and the remaining 42 from South Korean brand KL Saberi.

RGB said the project is “expected to contribute positively to RGB’s earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending 31 December 2024.”

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco revealed last year that the regulator would replace around 3,000 EGMs at its self-operated casinos as part of a comprehensive refresh of those properties ahead of planned privatization. The agency has stated its intention to become a pure regulator by 2028.
