NJ Racing Commission Expands Wagering Options with NYRA Bets Launch

Attorney General Jennifer Davenport and the New Jersey Racing Commission (NJRC) announced that NYRAbets LLC, operating as NYRA Bets, is now live in New Jersey.

NYRA Bets wagering platform is officially available

The NYRA Bets wagering platform is officially available to New Jersey racing fans. In addition, NYRA Bets will serve as the exclusive managing vendor of the state’s online and mobile pari‑mutuel account wagering system for horse racing, with responsibility for recruiting additional operators to launch platforms in New Jersey.

“This is a significant and historic expansion of horse racing fans’ options for pari‑mutuel wagering in the Garden State,” said Attorney General Davenport. “I’m pleased my office was able to facilitate this important transition to enhance the wagering experience while maintaining the integrity that NJRC is known for.”

“We know that players want more wagering options, and NJRC staff worked diligently to oversee an orderly, trustworthy, and accurate process,” added Sara Ben‑David, NJRC Acting Executive Director. “I’m thankful to everyone for their patience as we prepared for this important milestone.”

More options for horse bettors

Since 2005, horse bettors in New Jersey have had only one online option: the 4NJBets platform, currently operated by ODS Technologies, L.P. (TVG Network), owned by FanDuel. The addition of NYRA Bets introduces more competition into the pari‑mutuel marketplace.

Wagers placed on NYRA Bets will be processed by United Tote Company, which recently established a hub facility in Cherry Hill and completed successful testing. Until now, all pari‑mutuel wagers in New Jersey were processed by a single tote company, Global Tote US, LLC, a subsidiary of BetMakers US, Inc. Global Tote will continue to handle wagers placed at racetracks, off‑track wagering facilities, the casino simulcasting facility, and online at 4NJBets.com.

Anyone struggling with a gambling problem is encouraged to call or text New Jersey’s free helpline at 1‑800‑GAMBLER for confidential support. Gamblers who wish to sign up for self‑exclusion may do so by completing the application form and submitting it in person at an NJRC office.
