(Malta).- New football-themed MEGA engine brings player-versus-player simulation penalty shootouts to selected Soft2Bet brands, with early data showing 13.5% retention uplift.
A gamification tool designed for the World Cup
Soft2Bet has released MEGA Shoot, a new football-themed gamification engine created for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to help sportsbook operators improve player retention and keep them active throughout the tournament. MEGA Shoot will be available across selected Soft2Bet brands such as Betinia, Swiper, Campobet, ToonieBet and Elabet, including those operating in Denmark, Greece, Mexico, New Jersey, Ontario, Romania and the rest of Canada.
Capitalising on football's biggest betting event
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest edition to date, with 48 teams and 104 matches across Canada, Mexico and the United States. Some estimates suggest US wagering on the tournament could surpass Super Bowl wagering, giving operators a longer period of football-led betting activity across the event.
Penalty shootout gameplay at the core
MEGA Shoot is built around a best-of-five penalty shootout. Players will test their skills from the penalty spot, alternating between striker and goalkeeper to score goals and make match-winning saves. The striker chooses where to shoot, while the goalkeeper chooses where to defend. Each round is shown as a goal or a save before players switch roles and continue the series.
