(Douglas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- As the year comes to a close, SoloAzar presents a series of special interviews to reflect on the balance of 2025. On this occasion, Charlie Williams, Commercial Director at Altenar, shares his perspective on a period defined by expansion and recognition: certifications in Brazil and Peru, strategic alliances in Latin America, and the award as Best Online Sportsbook Provider at the SiGMA World Awards in São Paulo.

Altenar’s 2026 Strategy: Expansion in Europe, Targeted Growth in Asia & Africa, and Investment in the Americas

Regulated market consolidation and technological investment

“This year we have truly hit our stride. As a long-established provider, the last 12 months have been centred on regulated market consolidation and technological investment. This approach has cemented our reputation as an award-winning technology and services partner that our clients can truly trust. We are proud to be seen as a secure, futureproof supplier that operators can rely on for stability and innovation,” said Charlie Williams.

“We have had a lot to be proud of this year. In Latin America, we proved our commitment to quick and compliant market entry by gaining certifications in both Brazil and Peru. This allowed us to immediately offer diverse and engaging localised content in two of the industry’s most popular maturing markets,” he added.

Partnerships in Latam

Williams also commented that Altenar has signed a number of major operator partnerships in LatAm, including Multibet, which demonstrates the flexibility and reliability of its modular architecture to meet local needs. “Our fully-managed solution seamlessly plugs into some of the biggest, most complex systems with ease,” he affirmed.

Introducing new features

When asked about product launches, he said: “Across our entire platform, we have invested heavily in customisable widgets, launching several features such as Bet Suggestions, Bet Cards and our Tipster Module, which taps into the power of influencers.”

“Our success was recognised when we were named Best Online Sportsbook Provider at the SiGMA World Awards in São Paulo, which recognised the strength of our product across LatAm,” he pointed out.

From proven market entries to accelerated global growth ahead

“In the coming year, we will leverage our previous market entry successes to deliver aggressive global growth. Our strategy for the year ahead focuses on three pillars: regulated European market expansion, surgical targeting in select regions of Asia and Africa, and continued business operations investment in North and South America,” Williams said, before going on to outline in detail the company’s strategies for the various markets.

“In Europe, we will build on our regulatory expertise to solidify our presence across several newly-regulated or fast-growing jurisdictions across the continent. We are significantly expanding our geo-targeted rollout across all of Europe, ensuring product relevance, speed-to-market and regulatory accuracy to help accelerate our partners’ growth.

“We have observed massive growth potential across Africa and South-East Asia, but there is also a great degree of fragmentation. In South Africa, we will adopt a more aggressive push, with plans to invest in our personnel, and localised product features and user interface. Across both continents, we will focus on specialised in-market trading to ensure our risk management is fine-tuned to regional sports events and betting behaviours.

“Furthermore, our combined business development efforts and investment in the US market will start to provide returns in the form of imminent new client signings in the first half of the year. The recent expansion of our Brazil-based team will ensure we maintain the momentum we have enjoyed in 2025. Alongside this, we expect continued profit uplift across Latin America thanks to our advanced trading systems, which are designed to drive high profitability and protect margins in complex and high-volatility betting environments.

“We are committed to further solidifying our market position as the gold standard for stability, customisability, operational efficiency, and client profitability, he concluded.
