(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Nick Khin, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Gaming, chatted with SoloAzar about the main novelties presented at recent G2E Las Vegas and the positive experience at the firm’s booth. He also analyzed the North American market and commented the plans for the near future.
What are the main novelties presented by the firm at the recent show?
IGT’s G2E booth spanned more than 19,000 square feet and featured more than 200 games and solutions. With a portfolio of such scale and diversity, there were many highlights within our G2E showcase. In addition to debuting two new form factors, the PeakDual 27 and PeakCurve cabinets, we demonstrated many new, performance-tested multi- level progressive games across core and premium. Among the highlights were new base games additions for our high-indexing Prosperity Link and Money Mania themes, along with all-new titles Mystery of the Lamp, Egyptian Link and Cats Wild Serengeti. In the wide area progressive space, we unveiled Let’s Make a Deal slots on the Peak65 cabinet, along with several new Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks titles. Another standout from the show was our PeakBarTop with Sports Betting. The PeakBarTop continues to perform exceptionally well across the U.S. and by adding sports betting to the award-winning cabinet, we have enabled players to seamlessly enjoy their favorite IGT casino games, while placing a range of sports bets, all with a unified wallet. Finally, there was continued significant interest in our Resort Wallet and IGTPay cashless gaming solutions. Following the announcements that IGT is powering the STN Cash app at all six of Station Casinos’ flagship properties and enabling cashless gaming at Indigo Sky Casino in Oklahoma, many of our operator partners explored their interest in partnering with IGT for their cashless gaming needs and aspirations.
What was your experience at the show?
IGT had a highly productive G2E. I am very grateful for the cross-functional teams who helped create IGT’s powerful portfolio and positive selling environment. IGT’s booth was buzzing with activity all three days and our product and sales teams were highly engaged in delivering product demonstrations across all verticals. We also had the opportunity to show our immense gratitude for our customers via a well-attended customer party at Wynn Resorts. G2E was the first trade show since the onset of the pandemic where our employees and customers from North America and international regions came together at an industry event. That milestone inherently brought extra energy to G2E. In addition to the quality of our customer interactions, IGT’s momentum was further fueled by winning several highly lauded industry awards. For example, our PeakBarTop with Sports Betting was named “Land-Based Product of the Year” in the Global Gaming Awards and our Prosperity Link MLP game won “Slot Product of the Year” in the GGB Gaming & Technology Awards.
What has been the feedback from visitors?
Our customers communicated a lot of enthusiasm for IGT’s G2E portfolio and appreciated that our product roadmap is so tightly aligned with market demands and opportunities. In addition to being impressed with the depth and breadth of our solutions portfolio, they are confident in IGT’s ability to deliver on our promises and our products’ ability to drive play. In addition to core and premium games, we presented games and solutions for historical horse racing, video lottery and route markets, , Class II, Video Poker and ETG; there was something of interest for everyone who came through our booth. Our PlayDigital organization also had a tremendous showing at the event by highlighting its leadership in iGaming and sports betting and demonstrating why IGT’s omnichannel jackpots Powerbucks and Wheel of Fortune are in a class of their own.
How do you see the North American market with regard to IGT products?
IGT is very well-positioned in the North American market. We have many games consistently topping Eilers-Fantini performance reports and IGT has maintained three-plus years of steady North American ship-share leadership. We released the DiamondRS cabinet into the market a few months ago and the cabinet’s performance is very strong, with its launch titles Double Top Dollar and Pinball outperforming their peers. The portfolio that we demonstrated at G2E will enable us to continue this momentum and help us meet our customers’ short and mid-term
needs. In addition to best-in-class games and cabinets, we’re also leading in the cashless gaming space. Our Resort Wallet and IGTPay solutions are successfully enabling cashless slot play at top-tier casinos across the U.S. and have attracted interest from our extended customer base. Our Digital and Betting organization is positively positioned in North America as well. The PlaySports solution is powering sports betting at more than 70 gaming venues across the U.S. and Canada, and our iGaming portfolio is comprised of many of the most successful games in the market.
What are your plans for the near future?
For the remainder of 2022, we’ll continue to execute on our plan and drive value for our customers. We’re highly focused on getting our latest solutions onto casino floors and will then help our customers maximize the returns of their IGT investments.
