(Uruguay) .- The government of Luis Lacalle Pou resolved to extend the current measures to reduce mobility until at least June 20, which ran until this Sunday.
The measures that are maintained are: the suspension of all public shows, parties and social events of similar characteristics; the closure of public offices of the Central Administration (except for the guards regime); the closure of the casinos dependent on the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as the exhortation of private casinos to also comply with this provision; the exhortation for the preventive and provisional closure of the food courts of large commercial premises (shopping malls); and the exhortation to departmental governments, autonomous entities and decentralized services to close their offices, establishing guards and a teleworking regime.
It is a new extension of the measures that have been dragged on since March 23. From Decree 90/021, published on that date, articles 1, 2, 6, 7 and 12 remain in force. The original decree has already relaxed the suspension of attendance and the closure of gyms and free shops.
President Lacalle Pou has remarked that these measures are evaluated "week by week."
