ATFX, the multi-award-winning global fintech broker, has been confirmed as the official sponsor of the SBC Summit Rio 2026 Poker Tournament.
The invite-only event will take place on Tuesday, 3 March, at the Rio Beach Club, during SBC Summit Rio’s official Opening Party. Registration will open at 4.30 pm, with the tournament running from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The tournament will see 100 players put their strategy to the test. In true high-stakes poker fashion, participants will compete in a winner-takes-all format, with the last player standing crowned champion and rewarded with an exclusive prize provided by ATFX.
The champion will receive a brand-new iPhone 17 alongside USD 1,000 credited to an ATFX trading account. Second place will be awarded USD 800 on a trading account, while the third-place finisher will receive USD 500. In addition, each of the top three players will take home a premium ATFX poker set.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Paul Mills, Event Director at SBC, said: “Poker is one of the most universally loved games in the world. It’s a game that demands discipline, strategy, and the ability to keep your nerve when the pressure is on. Partnering with ATFX was a natural fit. Few brands understand calculated risk, timing, and strategic thinking quite like ATFX.”
Players will be selected through an invitation-only process led by SBC and ATFX, with places allocated to senior executives, partners, and key stakeholders attending SBC Summit Rio 2026. The selection will prioritise decision-makers, ensuring a high-calibre field that reflects the strategic, competitive, and relationship-driven nature of the tournament. Attendees interested in taking part will be able to register their interest via this form.
Founded in the UK in 2017, ATFX has established itself as a leading global fintech broker, with a strong on-the-ground presence across 24 locations spanning five continents. The company operates under nine regulatory licences worldwide.
The company is recognised for its comprehensive trading ecosystem, offering CFD trading across forex, indices, commodities, shares, and more, alongside industry-leading MT4 and MT5 platforms, competitive spreads, and advanced trading tools. Serving retail, professional, and institutional clients worldwide, ATFX is built on technology, precision, and disciplined execution, qualities equally valued in competitive trading environments and at the poker table.
Line Peteri, VP of Strategic Partnerships at ATFX, said: “SBC Summit Rio brings together decision-makers who operate in high-pressure, performance-driven environments, much like the world of trading. The tournament creates a setting where strategic thinking and risk management are not just discussed but experienced, making it a natural platform for ATFX to connect with gaming industry leaders in a fun and informal setting.”
ATFX’s sponsorship of the SBC Summit Rio 2026 Poker Tournament highlights the strong synergy between competitive poker and forex trading. Both arenas demand disciplined risk management, strategic foresight, and decisive action — qualities that define successful traders and high-level poker players alike.
SBC Summit Rio’s 2026 Poker Tournament will feature as part of the wider SBC Summit Rio 2026, taking place from 3-5 March 2026 at the Riocentro Rio. The event will feature a two-day conference, an expansive show floor, various networking events, as well as two dedicated side summits: the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit.
