(Las Vegas, SoloAzar Exclusive).- César Báez, BYA Group General Director, was interviewed by SoloAzar during G2E 2019. There, he talked about the participation of the company, the products it launched and the markets in which it operates. He also commented about Curvaplay growth, a company dedicated to produce, develop and design wood for chairs.
"At G2E is our collection 2019. We have some new products as well as the system we presented in London last February. We presented Base Londres, qa bas we developed, in which we can have a base, comprised by two pieces. If we take the piece that contains the footrest, we reconvert it in a chair for a slant-top machine, of 20". If we put the footrest, it will become a chair for an up-right machine. So a customer can buy a thousand chairs and he can choose if putting the footrest or not. If his casino grows, or if it reduces, or if there is a change of machines, he can adapt the chairs according to the constant evolution of the casino," Báez commented.
"In the past, there used to be a 90% of upright machines and a 10% of slant-top machines, and now we can find a 25%-75% proportion. Perhaps in the future it may change to a 50-50 proportion, so you can play with this base and customize it. I think it is an extremely important change. We export to 14 countries, and it could be complicated to ask for a base change; this way, we can benefit our customers, because they can do the change whenever they decide," he added.
With regard to the expectations of BYA Group at G2E, he details: "Every year our expectations are bogger, because every edition more and more people get to know us. When we came here 6 years ago, it was a completely unknown world for us. Then, we searched for a well placed booth and we have kept that position for 4 years, and we will continue having it; we even want to expand one more booth, and decorate it. We are at stand 1326 with International Gaming Solutions, a Miami firm. They are our commercial partners and sell our chairs in the US. We have the chance to enter more markets with them."
Bya Group currently operates in the US, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. They also have offices in Colombia.
FInally, he highlights the plans of the company for the rest of the year: "This year we assisted to shows in Bogota and in Cancun, where I also participated as speaker. We also organized an event for 150 people at Get In Monterrey, with people from Athens, US, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Now we have to rest and prepare for ICE London. Another issue is the growth of the company Curvaplay, where we produce, develop and design wood for our chairs. It currently has 2000 sqm and two stories, one where we make furniture for offices and another one in which we produce wood for our chairs. Now we are expanding another 2,000 sqm."
