Fernando Polti, Founder & CTO of IAG Play, talks about everything related to Peru Gaming Show

General evaluation and balance of Peru Gaming Show

"The balance is very positive. For IAG Play, Peru Gaming Show is not just another fair: it is the natural gateway to the Andean region, which today is the heart of our operation. We went with a clear objective – to consolidate the relations we already have in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, and to open new conversations with operators in the area – and on both fronts the result exceeded what we expected. More than the volume of contacts, what we take away is quality: people who already know the performance of our terminal system and who came to the stand to talk about specific numbers, not promises. That's the best sign that we're positioned where we want to be."

The stand

"The axis of the stand was our ecosystem of terminals, which is what differentiates us today in the region, added to the three categories of content that feed it: lottery games, crash games and bingo, with innovative games such as Animalitos Triple Chance or Tumblers lottericos. The strongest reception was, by far, the content designed specifically for the local player: when an operator sees a lottery game with a regional identity instead of an imported generic product, he immediately understands the difference in engagement. And the terminal system generates that "I want to see the data" immediately, because it already has proven traction, it is not a prototype."

Business opportunities for IAG Play

"Alliances arose to expand our network of terminals and license content with operators in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, and also interest from other markets in the region that we are evaluating. The impact is direct: each of these agreements accelerates our Andean expansion plan and allows us to bring a model that has already proven to work faster to more operators. We are not entering a new market to try our luck; we are scaling something that is already yielding results."

The Latin American market

"We are in a moment of solid and, above all, sustainable growth. Our video lottery games are currently 70% of the local market. Our terminal system is today a real success story in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, and that gives us a concrete base from which to grow. What positions us is not just another content provider: it is controlling technology from end to end – the terminal, the mathematics of the games, the content – and understanding the culture of the Andean player instead of importing a product designed for another audience. That combination of proprietary technology and content with local identity is exactly what a generic white-label can't offer, and it's the reason why operators in the region choose us."

Plans for the rest of the year

“For the rest of the year we have a full agenda. We are going to double the number of games we have in our catalog, consolidate the new category of crash and fast games, and launch new regional-themed lottery titles, which is where we see the most potential for engagement with the Andean player. In parallel, we continue to expand the footprint of our terminal network, both by delving into the markets where we are already strong and by evaluating the entry into new markets in the region. The priority is clear: to grow without giving up the quality and local identity that made us leaders in the region.”
