(Bogota).- The Gaming & Technology Expo organization has set its sights on electronic sports and is thus preparing GAT Esports, a pioneering event in Colombia that will take place on September 5 and 6, in two luxury locations in Bogota.

On September 5, the Esmeralda Room of the Bogotá Marriott Hotel will host the GAT Esports Academy and in the Santa Fe Room of the Sheraton Bogotá Hotel on September 6, gamers, entrepreneurs and special guests will live unmissable experiences with the participation of renowned communities of players and fans. Both locations, close to each other, will serve as the epicenter of an event that promises to mark a milestone in the development of esports and its future in Colombia.

Designed as a B2B/B2C platform, GAT Esports opens doors to public and private institutions, associations, companies and all those interested in exploring the vibrant esports sector, which today has millions of global followers. This exclusive academic and commercial meeting, with networking full of entertainment, will connect key players in the sector, promoting the integration and growth of electronic sports in Colombia and Latin America.

Two memorable days

GAT Esports Academy:

On September 5, the Bogotá Marriott Hotel will be the setting for an innovative academic agenda starting at 9:00 am. This space is designed to update knowledge and open a constructive dialogue on the current situation of electronic sports in the country. Among the central topics to be discussed are the arrival of esports to university programs, pedagogy and neuroscience applied to the gamer world, marketing opportunities for brands aimed at youth segments, the monetization of esports, betting on esports and virtual games.

The event will feature the participation of prominent speakers and panelists such as Ernesto Lucena Barrero, former Minister of Sports of Colombia and Delegate of the Right to Sports of the Ombudsman's Office, Mauricio Parodi, Representative to the Chamber of the Congress of the Republic, Angel Beccassino, renowned publicist and political scientist, Jorge Mario Karam Rozo, Vice Chancellor of Research of the University Corporation of Catalonia, specialists in sports law and gaming from the firm Brigard Urrutia, José Alejandro Sierra and Daniela Cañizares, Mario Agudelo from the University of Rosario, Natali Arenales from the University Institution National School of Sports and Juan Carlos Cuervo, expert in gamification and education. Leaders of the esports ecosystem in Colombia will also be present, such as José Luis Plata, CEO of ACE (Association of Esports Clubs) and Eder Cardozo from Scrub Division and Ricardo Velasco (8BitRichy).

The gamification strategy of the academic day with the participation of the public present, will be based on the virtual betting game with artificial intelligence, Frente de Batalla, a novelty created by the software company Mobadoo and that will launch the BetPlay platform in its portfolio of online games.

GAT Esports Academy also includes a closing panel with important sports journalists such as Javier Fernández 'El Cantante del Gol', José Agustín Martínez from RCN Antena 2, Ricardo Soler from Blu Radio and Diana Rincón from Telemundo Deportes. The central topic of the forum will be the future of sports journalism in esports, from the vision of professional journalism, taking into account the arrival of esports to Olympic sport and the challenge that it entails.

At the end of the afternoon on September 5 at the Marriott Hotel, awards will be given to winners in the gamification activity. 2. GAT Esports Exhibition

On September 6th, as part of GAT Showcase Bogotá, an annual event that brings together the gaming industry, the Sheraton Bogotá Hotel will also be the center of the GAT Esports Exhibition, which will take place from 12:00 to 20:00 in the Santa Fe Room. This space will be dedicated to the exhibition of products and services from the esports industry at stands.
