(São Paulo).- On July 29–30, Brazil will host one of Latin America’s top gaming event organizers. The gathering serves as a launch and lead-up to the GAT Events business fair scheduled for the second half of 2027 in São Paulo. Clarion Gaming’s World Gaming Business has joined as media partner for this kickoff event.
São Paulo hosts the elite of gaming and betting
On 29 and 30 July, Brazil will open its doors to one of Latin America's leading gaming-industry event organizers. The gathering is the activation and the pathway to the business fair GAT Events will hold in the second half of 2027, also in São Paulo. World Gaming Business, of Clarion Gaming, has joined the initiative as media partner of this launch event.
Gaming & Technology Expo – GAT will hold the GAT Official Launch Brazil on 29 and 30 July. The event will take place at the Jockey Club de São Paulo and marks GAT's entry into the Brazilian market.
GAT Events, with more than 27 years of history, was founded in Colombia in the late 1990s and, over its history, has established itself as one of the region's most important business hubs for the industry across every gaming vertical — with an emphasis on land-based casino — running uninterrupted fairs in Cartagena and Bogotá.
From 2021 it expanded its international presence, reaching markets such as the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. It has thus positioned itself as a complete platform combining commercial exhibition, conferences on regulation, professional training, networking, institutional relations, and trend analysis across every segment of the entertainment and technology economy — a sector growing without pause in Latin America.
The arrival in Brazil represents GAT's entry into a market that, after a year and a half of iGaming regulation, ranks among the five most important in the world. The GAT Official Launch Brasil will be the first step toward a fair with a corporate, business-focused format, planned for the second half of 2027.
«“We know that Brazil is today the most important and promising market in Latin America. Its regulatory process, the size of its economy, the scale of its population, and the interest it draws from suppliers, operators, and investors make it a strategic and unavoidable destination for any company connected to the gaming industry,” says José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events.
«“Brazil is going through a unique moment of technological development, especially in the online-casino and sports-betting segments, and — according to specialists — over the remainder of this decade it will see a decisive evolution in the land-based casino sector, likely alongside the hospitality industry. That is why I am pleased to announce that Alex W. Pariente, Founder & Principal of Pariente Advisory — a distinguished specialist with proven senior-leadership experience in hospitality and gaming across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe — has joined the GAT team as Chair of GAT Official Launch Brasil, advising on the conference programme and the content of the ambassadors' discussions for the inaugural Brazil edition (”www.parienteadvisory.com”).»
In the words of Alex W. Pariente, Founder & Principal of Pariente Advisory and Chair of GAT Official Launch Brasil: «“Brazil is writing the rules of one of the world's most important gaming markets in real time. The work now is to build institutions — not just events — and to do it to the highest standard.” »
GAT Official Launch Brasil — Partners
On its arrival in Brazil, Gaming & Technology Expo is supported by World Gaming Business as Media Partner, the brand behind internationally renowned events such as ICE Barcelona and iGB L!VE.
Azul Play, a company with two decades of experience organizing corporate events and multi-sector business fairs in Brazil and other countries, will be the general production and logistics partner of the gathering.
These partnerships strengthen GAT's international positioning, broaden its connection with the Brazilian market, and bring the project closer to the industry's leading global players.
Over two days, the GAT Official Launch Brasil will bring together sector leaders in São Paulo — the city that hosts Latin America's principal financial center — in an exclusive gathering focused on C-level networking, strategic conversations, and real business opportunities.

GAT Brazil Ambassadors
A select group of recognized figures accepted the invitation to lead this initiative and strengthen dialogue among the market's various stakeholders. Thanks to their experience, track record, and contribution to the development of the gaming and betting industry, they will take on the role of GAT ambassadors and spokespeople in Brazil.
On 30 July they will lead the conference programme at the Jockey Club, sharing their strategic vision for the future of the industry. The GAT Brasil Ambassadors:
● Neil Montgomery – Founder, Montgomery Associados.
● Amilton Noble – CEO, Hebara.
● Bárbara Teles – Co-Founder, AMIG.

« “The GAT Brasil Ambassadors are the cornerstone on which we are building our arrival in the Latin American giant. I am deeply grateful for their acceptance of our invitation. We are currently refining the themes that will be addressed during the conferences and panels,” notes José Aníbal Aguirre. »
Pre-event webinar
GAT and WGB are inviting the digital audience interested in the Brazilian market to a free-registration webinar ahead of the event, featuring the GAT Ambassadors, the organizing team, Latin American gaming associations, several of the 30 July speakers, and representatives of companies connected to this launch.
GAT Official Launch Brasil — Programme
The programme will begin on Wednesday, 29 July, with an exclusive welcome dinner at the Vicky Barcelona restaurant, offering an Iberian-inspired culinary proposal that blends the culinary traditions of Spain and Portugal in a menu designed by chef Edu Bonfim.
On 30 July, the Jockey Club de São Paulo — an emblematic racecourse and convention center — will host the event's official opening, with special guests and sector authorities in attendance.
The talks will be led by the GAT Brasil Ambassadors and other invited speakers, addressing highly topical themes such as the challenges of online gaming, integrity in sports betting, Responsible Gaming, the strengthening of tourism through land-based casinos, the evolution of regulation, and the future of lotteries in Brazil.
To conclude the program on Thursday, July 30, the organizers will host a networking cocktail specially designed to celebrate GAT Events' arrival in the country, offering an experience that reflects the company's identity and energy.
