"We are very happy with the response we have had from customers as an entertainment option. Our gaming platform has positioned itself as one of the safest and most reliable options in Mexico," said Castillo, who added: "We emerged in 2018 as one of the brands of the group. Our company was born in 2005, is currently one of the most dynamic of the sector in Mexico."

Kelly Kehn: What role does slot play, as part of your growth strategy?
LC: "It´s really very important, since we see the platform an entertainment platform, not neccesarily only betting or gaming. The slots and the casino are really relevant today, they represent about a 50% of our business. The pandemic influenced that. I mean, once sportsbetting were down, the casino and slots side of the business grew, specially because we have a lot of customers that come from the land-based side, so we offered them products as an extention to their experience, so its really relevant for us. And now that sportsbetting is coming back, one of the challenges is to maintain that growth we are having, and hopefully we'll keep on doing it."

KK: What type of slots do Mexican players like to play?
LC: "There is a wide range of different types of products. There are customers that like the products coming from abroad, specially from mature markets, but there are customers that are related to the ones they usually find at land-based casinos. So one of our main goals is to have both type of games and include as many as possible."

He added that the company is always open to bring the best products in the market, innovation and to new products. "One of the things we have to do is to handle and manage that products."

KK: When it comes to casinos, What are the trends shown in terms of growth?
LC: "Well, definitely, the current world situation has forced an acceleration in the online casino market, so although land based casinos will not stop offering their services, mainly because of the socialization and sense of experience that customers find in them, the trend, specially for new players, is a new way to enter to online entertainment, and we see it as an extension to the existing one, we don't see it as a competition. We believe customers will enjoy both types of games, the online but also the physical and land-based side."

He also highlighted that online gaming is growing in Latin America, also due to technology, "Internet, wifi and smart phones, which are growing steadily. They are increasing a 49% of users by 2022, I believe, so those are key elements to bring this type of entertainment. Our main goal is to drive customers with the easy aspects to the platform anywhere, so they can quicky find and play their favorite games."
