Under the theme "Perspectives," 43 compliance experts from six countries gathered for a high-impact workshop at Benkhausen Castle, designed to elevate cross-border synergy, address digital risks, and refine global operational standards.

Tackling Global and Digital Challenges in Compliance

The workshop kicked off with high-level expert presentations focusing on the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Key sessions addressed crucial modern compliance elements, including:

Cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data across jurisdictions.

Advanced risk management strategies tailored to diverse international regulations.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration and its ethical compliance implications.

A dynamic panel discussion featuring representatives from Merkur’s various international subsidiaries, followed by an interactive digital quiz, successfully rounded out the formal program.

Driving Synergy and a Shared Compliance Culture

Beyond technical training, the workshop prioritized peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and global networking. Recognizing that informal communication is the cornerstone of close international cooperation, the evening program offered a relaxed setting for attendees to network, share regional insights, and build stronger professional ties across borders.

"The ideas and diverse perspectives gained during the workshop will now be incorporated into our day-to-day work, helping us to continuously improve collaboration and optimize our existing processes," explained Ludwig Beckmann, Chief Compliance Officer of the Merkur Group.

The event wrapped up with a feedback session where participants overwhelmingly highlighted "collaboration" as the most valuable takeaway, underscoring the vital importance of a highly integrated, international compliance network in today's global gaming market.
