(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Fiona Davies, Head of Gaming at IDVerse granted an interview to SoloAzar in which she made an evaluation of the firm presence at the Sigma Europe 2023 edition. She also talked about the upcoming innovations and the role of IDVerse in the region, among other issues. IDVerse is a leader company focused on making user verification effortless through technology.
What were the company's objectives for this edition of Sigma Europe in Malta?
We exhibited at SiGMA Europe to meet with partners and clients, as well as connect with prospects in the European iGaming space to introduce our fully automated identity verification technology.
What novelties did you present at the event and what was the feedback you got from the attendees and visitors to your stand?
We help gaming operators automatically verify more than 16,000 types of ID documents in 142 languages and typesets across 220+ countries and territories. At the show, we raised awareness of our new eID verification biometrics capability through Brazil CPF. We also talked about integration challenges and shared the range of partners we have that many were not aware of, such as Experian, Playtech, and Aristotle Integrity, to name a few, as these relationships are key to supporting operators in moving to better tech but without the burden of changing incumbent integrations.
What do you think about this edition of Sigma Europe, and what do you consider to be the highlights during this edition of the event?
SiGMA Europe 2023 is an ideal meeting point with gaming operators based in and around Malta. This edition of the event was bigger than ever before, in a new venue. We discussed how the changing regulations in territories such as Curacao and Brazil are shaping the industry. Gaming operators are looking to adapt to and grow with these changes. Removing manual reviews and changing existing antiquated processes is a priority.
In your opinion, what do you think is required to attract the next generation of gambling players, and what role does your company play in the development of the innovations of the sector in the region?
Considering both the evolving preferences of younger players and the critical role of regulatory compliance, our technology ensures that the player feels secure in an environment that they trust.
Trust is first harnessed by taking the player through a robust verification at the start of their relationship and allowing them easy access to events such as cash out. This trust is achieved with highly accurate and precise automation for all verification needs.
The operators we work with have seen a correlation of ID documents with facial biometrics improve their registration to deposit rate as the customer feels more assured in a more robust process. Imagine a world where to verify and cash out, all the player needs to do is to smile into their phone camera. This is possible today but only if the operator is able to think about how biometric verification and automation can be used to overcome the friction that is ever present in older, antiquated manual processes.
This was seen in a recent survey completed in the payments sector; players were asked about how they felt about their user experience around payments. They were clear that waiting for cash out was a huge problem. If your operation is causing players to wait any time to withdraw then you have an issue that will have a direct impact on your EBITDA as they will leave your platform.
No longer is it acceptable for players to have to wait due to poor operational processes or due to an antiquated vendor solution, which means you have to physically eyeball many of the IDs that are coming into your business. Automating this process saves not only on user experience but operational costs as well.
