(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Maria Bashkevich, Head of Marketing, Uplatform, was granted an interview by SoloAzar, in which she talked about her recent experience at SIGMA show and about the future of the firm. "Uplatform is obtaining new licenses and, as a result, entering new markets," he said.

´We have very ambitious plans for our growth and expansion´

How has been your recent experience at SIGMA show?
SiGMA was a unique and unforgettable experience, as in the past, and was expected the ideal event for networking and expanding opportunities. Truthfully speaking, reading the recent news about new dark red zones and updated travel restrictions in Malta, there were some concerns about the number of delegates. However, any concerns were absolved, and SiGMA was very busy and productive for us :)

Have you participated in any of the conferences held within the event?
As a listener, yes. Unfortunately I have planned a lot of meetings, so didn’t have a possibility to visit all the panels I wanted. Although I’d like to highlight two that I really enjoyed - the panel about player attraction and retention, very insightful and a session on WOMEN in iGaming, an organization with which I'm very proud to be associated.

In your opinion, what have been the highlights of the event?
It's tough to say because I'm sure everyone has their own takeaway from the event, and certain aspects might be more relevant to their business or position within our industry. From our perspective, we've met a lot of potential clients interested in our product. Also, SiGMA has long been regarded as a great event for networking, with everyone enthusiastic to mingle and strike up a conversation. This year was no exception; we've met a lot of new faces and were happy to catch up with old friends after a long break.

And it was great to see that there were a lot of new brands exhibiting for the first time at SiGMA - we're always excited and curious to see what new offerings are on the market.

How do you see the European gaming market and what are the expectations for the near future?
Although I do not have a magical crystal ball to predict the future (I wish I had one), I can say specific characteristics provide some good insights; and things will evolve as the market continues to expand and develop. Trends are often proved be future indicators, I see them as follows: First, there has been an increase in the number of M&A’s recently, as well as a significant volume of investment from the United States. And from a playing side, Esports and virtual sports are gaining a lot of attention and increasing in popularity among players.

Addressing the industry as a whole, I'd say it's changing and increasing in every aspect imaginable, from market capacity and new brands to business practices - as we're on the topic of SiGMA, I would also include the level of industry and business events.

What are your plans and future developments?
Next year for Uplatform will be very productive as we have very ambitious plans for our growth and expansion. First of all, it's obtaining new licenses and, as a result, entering new markets. Secondly, expanding our betting and casino offerings and updating our platform, making it even more customizable and effective. To do so, we are planning to expand our team, so if you would like to join us, contact us on Linkedin or by email - hr@uplatform.com ;)
