The gambling industry in Latin America and the Caribbean

What expectations do you have regarding the Latin American market, particularly in the Dominican Republic?

Our expectation is to continue consolidating ourselves in the Latin American market and, specifically, in the Dominican Republic, where we see great growth potential. We believe that the recent update of regulations at the Casinos and Gaming Directorate opens new opportunities to implement responsible gaming practices and improves confidence in the sector. Our goal is to expand our collaboration network with casino groups to contribute to the development of a regulated and safe environment.

What are the biggest challenges for your company in the region?

In the region, one of our main focuses is to capitalize on opportunities arising from new regulations and growing interest in responsible gaming practices. Although each country has its own set of regulations, we believe that our extensive experience in regulated sectors positions us favorably to help operators adapt and thrive in this environment. Our mission is to be an ally in the implementation of effective and sustainable solutions that guarantee compliance and promote the growth of the sector.

How do you perceive the impact of regulation on the growth of the sector in the Caribbean?

We perceive that regulation has a positive impact on the growth of the sector in the Caribbean; here the challenge is to achieve a sector with a common focus or direction for all its actors.

Well-structured regulation fosters confidence among both consumers and investors, which is crucial for the sustainable development of the industry, but we must all be convinced of this and make it happen.

Finally, what do you think about the business opportunities that the Dominican Republic offers for the gaming industry?

The Dominican Republic is positioned as a crucial point on the map of business opportunities for the gaming industry. With an evolving regulatory framework and a constantly growing tourism sector, we see a great opportunity for companies to establish strong and responsible operations. Our vision is to contribute to this process and work together with local entities to strengthen the market.
