(Las Vegas, Exclusive SoloAzar).- Dominic Atkinson, Head of Regional Sales at Sportradar in North America was interviewed by SoloAzar about their presence at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas from the 10th till 13th October. He remarked on the Ecosystem of their Sports Solutions Group as well as the betting environment Sportradar creates for the fan world.

Sportradar at G2E: powering the Ecosystem by creating new experiences for sports fans

How was your experience at this G2E Las Vegas edition?

Sportradar: We had a great time at this year’s G2E in Las Vegas. It was great to see the event return to prepandemic levels from an attendance standpoint. We want to thank the organizers, all our customers and the partners who made this happen.

What was your business or promotion strategy at G2E?

After two years of navigating the complications caused by COVID-19, we were excited to connect face-to-face with our clients, and partners, and meet with potential new prospects so that they could learn firsthand about our company’s products and services. With the betting marketplace growing at a rapid pace in the U.S., and the needs of operators and other stakeholders continually evolving, we were thrilled to showcase a wide range of our offerings. Including our Managed Trading Services, which meet operator needs regardless of size or maturity in the market, as well as our vast and unmatched portfolio of AV streaming content and best-in-class ad:s marketing service, which helps clients effectively and efficiently engage with sports fans and bettors.

How is your firm positioned in the North America market?

Sportradar is powering the massive ecosystem created by the converging sports, betting and media industries. The fan is at the center of the ecosystem, and Sportradar’s data, insights and analysis are key to helping our customers engage sports fans in a rapidly transforming landscape. Our real-time data is driving inplay opportunities, which is the future of sports betting in the U.S. Our technology, data and innovation will power the industry forward, creating amazing new experiences for sports fans.

US sports betting market growth for challenges in such a big market

As a B2B company, we have been focused on supporting our clients as they address the opportunities being presented as more states legalize. We have invested significantly in the U.S., as we scale to power one of the world’s largest sports betting markets. We are seeing the U.S. market shift from predominantly pre-game betting to more in-game betting, which is the norm in the rest of the world, along with mobile sports betting accelerating as the fastest-growing channel. As a result, it has been a priority to support our customers during such a dynamic period. We have also been focused on the growth of our ad:s platform, which has grown nearly 40% year over year, as operators seek more efficient customer acquisition and retention solutions. Additionally, our managed betting services saw revenue increase 65% year over year and we estimate we are on track to handle 17 billion to 20 billion euros worth of transactions this year.

Plans for the end of 2022

Massive secular tailwinds are driving the growth of the industry and as a company positioned at the center of this ecosystem, we will continue to focus on developing innovative products and delivering high- value solutions that solve customer problems and help them grow their businesses. We will also further leverage our relationships with leagues, operators and media companies to create an amazing world for sports fans, as well as support the goals of our industry related to establishing a betting environment that is easier for fans to access and more exciting and engaging to experience.
