Scientific Games Donates $25,000 To Georgia Farmers For Hurricane Michael Recovery

(Las Vegas and Atlanta).- Scientific Games Corporation today announced that the Company has continued its efforts to provide Hurricane Michael recovery with a $25,000 donation to the Georgia Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture to support farmers in the state of Georgia struggling to recover from the recent storm's devastation. The donation comes as Georgia Governor Deal seeks funding from state lawmakers for hurricane aid in the southern part of the state.
Scientific Games, a global leader in the gaming and lottery industries, is a major business partner of the Georgia Lottery. The Company's global lottery headquarters are located in metro-Atlanta.
Georgia State Senator John Wilkinson, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Chairman, said, "Following the unprecedented devastation caused by Hurricane Michael, Georgia farmers and their families have shown great resilience. We have a long road to recovery, and with the help and tremendous support from friends like Scientific Games we are one step closer to rebuilding."
Georgia House Representative Tom McCall, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Chairman, said, "The effects of Hurricane Michael's devastating impact on Georgia farmers will be felt for years to come. I am grateful to our incredible private sector partners like Scientific Games who have stepped forward to provide generous relief to Georgia's agriculture industry in our time of need."
Georgia Farm Bureau President Gerald Long, said, "I appreciate that Scientific Games is standing with our Georgia farmers and farm families in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael. Their generous support will help to pave the way in assisting the long process of putting Georgia's farm communities back together."
