Behind the Scenes at Altenar with Marat Garipov

Marat Garipov, Altenar's Art Director, shares insights into his career, leadership style, and creative philosophy. Originally trained as an architect, Marat transitioned into graphic design due to limited opportunities in construction. After working in Tomsk and later in Moscow for major international brands, he joined Altenar in March 2024, where he found alignment with the team’s values and approach.

At Altenar, Marat focuses on branding, visual identity, advertising, and video production. He emphasizes experimentation, creativity, and thoughtful system-building. His leadership style balances democracy and creative control, valuing team input while maintaining brand consistency.

He values team members who are passionate, have unique skills, and bring new perspectives. The team uses tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, Asana, Slack, and AI solutions to manage remote collaboration effectively. Task management is structured through clear briefs to ensure quality and alignment.

Marat highlights Altenar’s support for continuous learning and growth. He encourages openness, trust, and clear communication during onboarding and throughout the creative process. Personally, he finds inspiration in solo road trips, which offer reflection and creative reset. One of his proudest projects is the design of Altenar’s exhibition stands, where he merges architecture and branding.

Despite professional fulfillment, Marat reflects on the importance of dedicating more time to family. His core belief is that passion, originality, and mutual respect are essential to both career success and a balanced life.
