DGOJ homologates Merkur Interactive Malta technical system

(Malta).- General Direction of Gaming Administration (DGOJ) decides to grant a license to Merkur Interactive Malta regarding the homologation of the technical gaming system. It has a 10-year validity and acredites the compliance of the technical requirements demanded for gaming activities performed in the Spanish territory, or addressed to Spanish participants or for a Spanish user registration.
Through the resolution of the General Direction of Gaming Administration, it granted to the entity MERKUR INTERACTIVE MALTA, PLC, with CIF number N0461473A, March 14th, 2019, with a provisional character, the following license: Singular Counterpart Sportsbooks Licence.
Certification reports of the technical system have been issued by one of the entities appointed for that matter by DGOJ, according to the procedure established in Order EHA/2528/2011, September 20th, which set the requirements and appointment procedure of the independent entities that perform the certifications of evaluation of gaming software and the security of operators, and accredite the compliance of the technical requirements set by the law in force.
Certification reports presented show the compliance of the requirements established for the technical requirements of the operator and have obtained a positive assessment by the General Subdirectory of Gaming Inspection.
In Law 13/2011, May 27th, 2011, the Gaming Regulation establishes, in its Article 16, that "the entities that perform the organization, operation and development of games regulated within the Gaming Law, will offer software material, equipment, terminals and instruments necessary for the development of the gaming activities, properly homologated," attributing the DGOJ the homologation of the techical gaming systems, the establishment of the necessary specifications for their operation and the procedure for its certification.
The homologation of the gaming technical system has a 10-year validity from the issuance date of the report. Such homologation accredites the compliance of the technical requirements demanded for the performance of gaming activities in Spain, or addressed to Spanish participants or with a Spanish user registration, and extends to hardware and software components, which are included in the definite certification reports presented by the operator.
