Digital Sports Tech launches in-play prop betting offering for NBA
⏱ 2 min read
(United States).- Digital Sports Tech (DST), the industry leading, specialist provider of player prop betting markets, has launched a world-first in-play prop betting offering for the National Basketball Association (NBA), with results to date exceeding all user traction and performance expectations.
In-Play NBA Player Props, which was launched in December 2018, is powered by DST’s state-of-the-art props platform and pricing engine, which combines advanced mathematical and predictive modelling with proprietary algorithmic-based odds generation that has been designed specifically for live NBA matches.
It enables sportsbook customers to bet on any player’s (statistical) performance in real-time and as play is happening on the court. An example would be placing a bet five minutes into the second quarter on LeBron James to finish the match with 30+ points.
DST’s In-Play NBA Player Props is made available to sportsbook customers via its low latency data feed (API) push service. It is also offered within DST’s award-winning Bet Builder product, a plug-and-play solution for sportsbook operators where their users can create and customise their own stats-based prop bets on any player, either building single bets or same-game accumulators.
DST provides unparalleled coverage for its In-Play NBA Player Props offering in terms of the number of games, players and markets offered, with up to 10 players and 100 individual betting markets available per game. Human oversight is also provided across all games via DST’s experienced team of traders to ensure the best and most accurate prices for its customers.
Ari Lewski, Executive Director at Digital Sports Tech, said: “Betting on NBA is already a top three sport for most global operators and player props are a critical part of their armoury, representing up to 85% of total markets offered per game with some sportsbooks.
“There is an ever-growing pool of bettors that are now more interested in betting on the star players and their statistical performances than the teams. For most of them it’s a far more engaging and enjoyable betting experience and In-Play NBA Player Props aims to take this experience to a whole new level.
“While a handful of sportsbooks offer a few in-play NBA props on an ad hoc basis, the combination of our offering’s unrivalled breadth and depth, together with the current popularity of NBA props betting, will no doubt have a positive impact for operators. We’ve been thrilled to see how well In-Play NBA Player Props has performed for our clients since launch and we’re really excited and confident about its potential.”
