Rocío Moitino, from QTech Games: “ICE Barcelona 2026 Was a Strongly Business-Driven Event with a Clear Focus on LATAM”

ICE Barcelona 2026 once again consolidated its position as one of the leading meeting points for the global gaming industry. For QTech Games, a leading content provider and aggregator for emerging markets, the event represented a key opportunity to strengthen its positioning in Latin America and to showcase solutions aligned with the market’s new demands. Speaking with this outlet, Rocío Moitino, Sales Director – LatAm at the company, shared her assessment of the event and QTech Games’ roadmap for 2026.

What is your assessment of your participation at ICE Barcelona 2026, both in terms of the exhibition and the business opportunities generated?

ICE Barcelona 2026 was a very positive experience for us. Not only because of the quality of the exhibition, but also due to the level of the conversations that took place. It was an ICE strongly oriented toward real business, with concrete projects and a clear focus on growing markets, especially LATAM.

For QTech, it was an excellent opportunity to reinforce our value proposition as a leading aggregator in emerging markets and to present solutions that truly add value. In this context, our hybrid solution generated significant interest, particularly among operators seeking flexibility, efficiency, and a model that can adapt to different regulatory frameworks.

How do you assess the quality of the audience and the profile of the contacts generated during the event?

The quality of the audience was very high. We met with real decision-makers who have a clear growth vision and well-defined needs. There was strong interest in models that allow scaling without added complexity, and in that sense, our hybrid solution was one of the highlights of the meetings.

In particular, Mexico and Colombia were the markets that showed the greatest interest in this type of structure, followed closely by other LATAM countries. This confirms that the region is looking for more flexible and efficient alternatives to operate in increasingly competitive environments.

From your perspective, which trends or debates seen at ICE Barcelona 2026 will shape the industry in the short and medium term?

One of the major topics was regulation, especially in LATAM, where many markets are still evolving. Alongside this, there is a clear trend toward more efficient operating models, in which hybrid solutions and flexible frameworks are becoming increasingly relevant.

We also saw a strong focus on engagement and retention, as well as on tools that allow operators to optimise results without increasing risk. We believe the industry is moving toward smarter and more sustainable structures, and this approach was clearly visible throughout the event.

What are QTech Games’ main strategic priorities for this year? Do you plan to enter new markets or strengthen your presence in key jurisdictions during 2026?

Our strategic priority for this year is LATAM, with a very clear focus on markets such as Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. We are moving forward in an organised manner, supporting operators and platforms that are looking to grow on solid technological and regulatory foundations.

The hybrid solution will be one of the key pillars of our strategy, as it directly addresses the needs we are seeing across the region. Rather than growing quickly, we aim to grow consistently and sustainably, and 2026 will be a key year to consolidate our presence in Latin America.
