(Lima, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Araksi Sargsyan, Head of Business Development at DS Virtual, was interviewed by SoloAzar during the latest edition of the Peru Gaming Show, which took place last week in Lima. The firm unveiled its new solution for betting shops. “We have been last year as visitors, but this is our first presentation at PGS with a stand,” said Sargsyan, who highlighted the importance of the Latin American market for the company.

DS Virtual presented its new solution for betting shops at PGS 2023

We come with our new solution for betting shops. Players can ask for tickets at betting shops and can also see the broadcast, the statistics, all the games in the program, they can bet all their games, see the odds, ask for their tickets, pay at the cashier. They can also order their tickets through their mobile devices. This is an innovative solution and it seems to me that it will be super interesting for the Peruvian market”, commented Araksi Sargsyan.

Regarding the repercussion her presentation had at PGS, she said the following: “I really like that the Peruvian market is very traditional. In other words, there are many operators that have betting shops but that are more of the traditional game. We liked the event a lot and next year we will be here again”.

When asked about the Peruvian market regarding the products they are presenting, she stated: "I really like the fact that it is a fairly stable market, because unfortunately, in Latin America, not all markets have that stability. Peru has its traditions, its experienced players, its opinion, and I love that. It seems to me that the Peruvian market has a great future”.

We decided to come to the region because Latin America is a very large, interesting market, it is different. I think for all vendors it's the number one goal, and we're no different than those vendors. We think that the market has a great future and we expect the regulation of all markets, because our company works only in regulated markets. We have many licenses and we hope that very soon we will have a legislation here in Peru”, added the Head of Business Development of DS Virtual.

She then gave us her opinion about the change in the law that will make all companies, both national and foreign, pay taxes in Peru. “To tell you the truth, I like the idea that foreign operators will have to be nationalized, basically the most important thing about regulation is the protection of players, that's why we talk and think a lot about regulations, because we really don't want our business to lose reputation. When everything is regulated, when the players are protected, it is safer for everyone: for the providers, for the operators and the players, as well as it is beneficial for the state”.

DS Virtual started in Europe, because it is an Austrian company. “We work in Europe, Africa and Latin America. In Peru we already have a presentation of our new product. We are very excited,” she added.

After Peru, the company plans to go to Brazil. “There, unfortunately, the traditional segment is not as developed and there is no legislation, but we are very interested in that market. On the other hand, we have licenses in Colombia and Panama, and very soon you will be able to find our games in different markets,” she assured.

Finally, she tells us about her plans for the rest of the year: “We are going to Santo Domingo to visit our partners to talk about the business and find out what else we can do to develop their businesses and then we return to Austria. Later, we have SBC Barcelona, SBC Latin America and SIGMA, and we close the year. After that, we already have to prepare for ICE London 2024, the biggest event in the sector”.

“We invite everyone to try our products. We are available 24/7 ”, she concluded.
