(São Paulo, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Mateo Lenoble, Regional Sales Director LATAM at Sportradar shared his impressions to SoloAzar about the BiS SIGMA AMERICAS event that was held June 14 to 18. Mateo said: “The BiS SIGMA Americas is one of the biggest events for Sportradar in LATAM. It is relevant for us to be present at these events and show our support for the industry in the region. Sportradar is working hard in Latam with a strong focus on Managed Trading Services or MTS, Ad:s and AV.”
“On July 5th we have announced that after a highly competitive selection process, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) announced that it has selected Sportradar as the successful bidder for exclusive global audio and video (AV) and betting data rights, that will enhance the accessibility and engagement of South American football for a broader global audience”, mentioned Mr. Lenoble.
“We are very excited about this great news. The sports betting market has significantly evolved in recent years and Sportradar is ready for this evolution”, he added.
How did you experience the five days of the tradeshow and what innovations did you present?
We were excited to attend BiS SiGMA Americas. Sportradar is always ready to show our products and services including Managed Betting Services – presenting the latest products and services outlining how they will benefit operators; Fan engagement – highlighting how engagement through AV and ad:ssolutions can help operators acquire new customers, offer an enhanced customer experience and drive growth. Our executives have also participated in some panels at this event to contribute to all the relevant discussions for Brazil.
What were the topics that most caught your attention during the event?
The event was big. It is already positioned as one of the main ones in Latin America, seeing the size that the fair has reached. Our participation was important for the opportunity to talk to everyone involved in the iGaming and sports betting industry ecosystem. It is always good, especially for networking, which allows us to expand relationships and build trust alongside our partners.
Considering that in Brazil, gambling is not yet regularized, what are the company's perspectives on this debate?
The Brazilian market has enormous potential and we follow its developments very closely waiting for what happens on regulation.
Why you are interested in the Brazilian market and what are your company's plans for the Brazilian market?
In an emerging market, we help our clients and operators to understand the industry and improve engagement with their customers. This has been one of our main goals since we started working in LATAM.
The betting industry is constantly evolving, with changes in regulation creating new challenges and opportunities for operators.
As a partner to hundreds of operators within the industry, it is important that we are responsive to regulatory changes and that we help our clients engage with their customers in ways that are compliant.
Regarding Latin America, Brazil is naturally the main market due to the size of the country and population, but we see a huge potential in the Argentinian and other markets as well, the consumers there are soccer fans, which is the sport that they bet on the most. Still, sports betting, in general, has significant room for growth. I am leading in Latin America and I will always be available to clarify any doubts about our services in the region.
Can you tell us about your plans for expansion in Latin America?
By July 5th we have announced that after a highly competitive selection process, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) announced that it has selected Sportradar as the successful bidder for exclusive global audio and video (AV) and betting data rights, that will enhance the accessibility and engagement of South American football for a broader global audience.
Under the terms of the agreement, the rights encompass the major regional club tournaments organized by CONMEBOL, including the prestigious CONMEBOL Libertadores (Men's and Women's), CONMEBOL Sudamericana and CONMEBOL Recopa, for the next four seasons. It also marks the first time that domestic AV betting rights for CONMEBOL club competitions are offered in the region.
Sportradar’s commitment to product innovation for its more than 900 clients globally and its superior development in advanced technologies, such as computer vision and AI, in addition to its industry[1]leading integrity services, were key considerations in the selection process. We use to say that massive tailwinds are driving the growth of the industry and as a company positioned at the center of this ecosystem, we will continue to focus on developing innovative products and delivering high-value solutions that solve customer problems and help them grow their businesses.
We will also further leverage our relationships with leagues, operators and media companies to create an amazing world for sports fans, as well as support the goals of our industry related to establishing a betting environment that is easier for fans to access and more exciting and engaging to experience.
