(Malta, SoloAzar Exclusive).- From landmark events across five continents to a growing focus on social impact and inclusivity, SiGMA wrapped up 2025 as one of the most defining years in its history, laying the groundwork for an ambitious expansion into new markets in 2026.
Founded in 2014 by Eman Pulis, the SiGMA Group has evolved into a leading events and media organisation spanning gaming, emerging technologies, digital health and affiliate marketing. Supported by four strategic pillars—SiGMA Events, SiGMA Play, Venture Capital and the SiGMA Foundation—the company now employs more than 200 people across offices in Malta, Limassol, Manila, São Paulo and Belgrade.
In 2025, SiGMA delivered what it describes as a “landmark year,” combining large-scale international events with a strong commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. The calendar opened with AIBC Eurasia in February, where thought leadership took centre stage through contributions from figures such as Dr Marwan Al Zarouni and Dr Sameer Al Ansari, alongside high-profile appearances by Didier Drogba and Gregory van der Wiel.
March saw SiGMA Africa place inclusivity firmly on the agenda with the launch of the first-ever Women in Gaming Africa conference. A month later, BIS SiGMA South America in Brazil elevated its profile further by debuting the SiGMA Poker Tour, fronted by motorsport icon Rubens Barrichello.
“Each event in 2025 carried its own identity while reinforcing SiGMA’s broader mission of collaboration and positive impact,” the group noted, pointing to highlights such as SiGMA Asia in Manila, which focused on community development through the Batiawan Community Centre initiative.
The year continued with SiGMA Euro-Med in Malta introducing the inaugural Hall of Game Awards, while SiGMA Central Europe in Rome attracted an impressive 30,000 delegates. The calendar concluded in Sri Lanka with SiGMA South Asia, where the organisation supported communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah, underlining its commitment to blending expertise, entertainment and social responsibility.
2026: New Markets, Consolidated Leadership
Looking ahead, SiGMA is preparing for an even more ambitious 2026, marked by both consolidation and expansion. The most notable milestone will be the launch of the inaugural SiGMA North America in Mexico City this September, signalling the group’s first step into the North American market.
“Mexico City will act as a bridge between Spanish-speaking markets and global investors,” the company stated, describing the move as a significant evolution in its international footprint.
Alongside this debut, SiGMA will continue to strengthen its presence in established destinations. AIBC Eurasia returns in February with Dubai positioned as a hub connecting frontier technologies and capital. SiGMA Africa in Cape Town (March) will once again champion innovation and emerging talent, while SiGMA South America in São Paulo (April) will focus on regulatory transformation and sustained market growth.
The calendar also includes SiGMA Asia in Manila (June), uniting online and land-based operators, SiGMA World in Rome (November) addressing regulation, investment and innovation, and SiGMA South Asia in Bangkok (December), aimed at reinforcing regional ties across South Asia.
As SiGMA moves into 2026, its overarching goals remain clear: to consolidate its leadership position, foster collaboration across industries, nurture talent and deliver sustainable, long-term impact. If 2025 was about scale and purpose, 2026 promises to be about reach, influence and the next phase of global growth.
