Simeone has been the manager of Atlético de Madrid since December 2011 and is widely recognised as one of the defining coaches of the modern era. He has led the club to major domestic and European honours, including two LaLiga titles (2013-14, 2020-21), UEFA Europa League titles (2012, 2018), UEFA Super Cup victories (2012, 2018), a Copa del Rey and a Spanish Super Cup.
